Singularity University’s Audio Visual team is looking for skilled technicians in the Bay Area to join our live event production team. This role includes the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment used in the production of SU’s various educational programs. AV technicians are hired to staff each of these programs, so the amount of work depends on our what is needed for each event and the number of programs happening at any one time. This position allows for great flexibility in scheduling due to the variable workload.
This role is designed for a general Audio Visual technician to operate the technology used to run these programs, like wireless microphones, digital audio mixing consoles, video switchers, televisions, and theatrical lighting. This role is a combination of the traditional Audio Operator (A1) and Video / Graphics Operator (V1) on large-scale productions. The person in this role will need to be comfortable fluidly working between the various audio, visual, lighting, and camera equipment required to run any SU program. Our team is comprised of a few, high-skilled technicians who are not afraid to try something new or play a different role to get the job done.
The ideal candidate is technologically-savvy, graceful under pressure, detail-oriented, and flexible.
