Scrum Master/Project Manager

As Singularity University’s Scrum Master/ Project Manager, you will be at the center of our mission-critical software development and technical projects across multiple development teams and geographies.We are looking for someone who is proactive, entrepreneurial, methodical and process-oriented while battle tested through years of product development and agile SDLC processes. You will work with cross functional teams including development, QA, product management, professional services and support.

Your role will be to ensure that the organization allocates resources effectively and staff efforts are aligned. Projects will include the ongoing development and roll-out of a large-scale community collaboration platform across web and mobile serving 160,000 global Singularity community members, enterprise and SaaS integrations and implementations, and digital learning products that support learners and community members around the globe and advance our mission of building an abundant future through the use of exponential technologies. You will interact extensively with the EVP of Online Learning & Digital Businesses as well as our Director of Engineering


  • Guide and coach the development teams on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values and to get the most out of self-organization.

  • Act as scrum master for multiple technical projects.

  • Serve as software/implementation project manager for other projects related to Singularity’s digital business and large scale enterprise implementations.

  • Manage day-to-day scrum and project activities including planning, prioritization, resource allocation, project status, change and scope management, estimated delivery dates, and project metrics to all stakeholders.

  • Track team velocity, health and sprint/release progress.Conduct sprint grooming, provide progress reports.

  • Improve developers’ skills on agile tools and processes.

  • Maintain relevant schedule, delivery, and code quality metrics to demonstrate how development teams are progressing.

  • Ensure that development, QA and product teams at multiple sites are practicing core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.

  • Assess the Scrum maturity of the team and the organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and the organization.

Our Requirements (we need you to have):

  • One or more Scrum Master and Agile certifications, such as CSM, CSP, ICP, PMI-ACP, and/or PSM. PMP certification also a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on software product development processes and product releases at least two different companies.

About You (we’d like you to have):

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline a plus.
  • Experience supporting multiple teams within an organization.
  • Experience working with a technically diverse team
  • Experience working with offshore development teams.
  • Success thriving in an ambiguous and evolving work environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and practice active listening – guiding teams to the answer rather than presenting the solution.
  • Ability to establish and foster strong relationships, while collaborating across multiple functions and levels of authority.
  • Experience in change management is a plus.
  • Strong spirit of collaboration, working across large organizations to reach a common goal, while actively promoting authenticity, transparency, and thought leadership.
  • Successful experience working with confidential / sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Self-starter, with a proven ability to effectively manage time and produce tangible results.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
